How to File a Car Insurance Claim

Filing a car insurance claim can be straightforward if you follow these steps:

  1. Gather evidence (details from the other driver, photos, videos, etc.)

  2. Notify your insurer as soon as possible

  3. Make a police report within 24 hours

  4. Complete the claim form

  5. Send your car to a panel workshop

Required Documents for Car Insurance Claims

  • Copy of policyholder’s NRIC

  • Copy of driver’s NRIC (if the driver is not the policyholder)

  • Original police report

  • Original police investigation result

  • Completed claim form

  • Adjuster report and repair invoices

  • Medical bills and receipts (if there are injuries)

  • Evidence (photos or videos)
